Purple, stringless bean with fleshy, brown-grained beans. After cooking, the purple Teepee green bean turns a delicious dark green. Therefore, these beans can be used just like any other green variety. The purple Teepee green bean can be used in soups, casseroles, stir-fries, and salads.
Sow from April-May in well-warmed soil (>15°C) until the end of July, after the risk of night frost has passed, in a sunny, warm location. Sow two seeds every 10 cm, in rows about 50 cm apart. Sowing depth: 3 to 4 cm. For early cultivation, sow indoors and plant out after mid-May. Harvest from July to October.
