This red oak leaf lettuce forms a loose head, with decorative red-tinged leaves (shaped like oak leaves) that can also be harvested as lettuce. Highly productive, heat-resistant, and fast-growing, it’s suitable for any season.
Sow regularly: in a seed tray or pots in a sheltered spot, or in a seedbed in the open ground. Plant the young plants approximately 30 cm apart. Sow directly in the soil in rows 30 cm apart and thin the plants to approximately 20 cm. Harvest from June to October.
