An old variety native to Italy, known since the 1900s. Large, slightly ribbed, fleshy fruits, weighing 180 to 300 grams.
Sow indoors in a seed tray, starting in January for growing in a heated greenhouse, starting in late February for growing in a cold greenhouse, and starting in late March for growing outdoors (sowing temperature: 20-22°C). As soon as the first two true leaves have formed, they can be pricked out from the seed tray into pots. Plant out from mid-April in a greenhouse and from mid-May in the open ground. Planting distance: 80 x 80 cm. The plants should be supported.
