Description

A sturdy plant that produces pear-shaped tomatoes in clusters. They weigh approximately 80–100 grams. The tomatoes are deep red and are perfect for making sauces and tomato juice. The Rio Grande is highly resistant to diseases and extreme temperature fluctuations. Harvest: 75–80 days after transplanting.

Sow from January to March in a greenhouse, or from April to May in a cold frame or in the ground. Transplant when the plant has 3 or 4 leaves between April and June at a distance of 80 cm x 80 cm. Tie the plants up to support them. Water generously and regularly, avoiding wetting the leaves.
